Arriving in Kathmandu

Well arriving in Kathmandu lived up to my expectation of it being crazy, but in a good way. After 19 hrs in transit I found my driver holding a name board with me on it !!! ( I'm so important now). Midnight, we jump into the van with the hotel receptionist whose name is Susan ( a lovely young man I kid you not!) and the is shortly followed by a police man also jumping in! Yikes! He just wanted a lift to town and I wasn't going to argue. Headlights illuminated many dogs, cows, piles of road rubble and temples as we sped along.

Hotel Holy Himalaya is much nicer than I expected, and bed is oh so sweet
